Disney Parks Fireworks ~ Disney Lights the Night Sky
Disney Parks Fireworks ~ Enjoying Disney Lightshows in Comfort
Staying for the Disney Parks Fireworks is a must for most families. But doesn’t always require standing for hours to get the best view. Sometimes just hanging on the sidelines is enough magic to finish off a full day at the parks. Let’s explore some of our favorite spots to catch the show…

Disney Parks Fireworks at Epcot
On a trip in 2018, we wanted to catch IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth one last time. A conversion to a new nighttime experience was being imagined by Disney Imagineers. So naturally, we wanted to see the show one last time. IllumiNations was a nightly extravaganza on the World Showcase Lagoon.
Everyone knew it was important to claim a spot to stand well before dark to see everything the show offered. But alas, as the sun went down, so did our energy. We stopped to rest on a walkway bench as we contemplated heading back to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The bench was located just inside the park by the International Gateway entrance. While resting, we noticed boat after boat filled with guests arriving to watch from the canal. We then realized if we just turned sideways, we had an awesome view. It was the perfect way to end the day at Disney Parks.

Disney Parks Fireworks at Beach Club Resort
On another trip a few years earlier, we sat in the swing outside the Beach Club resort overlooking Crescent Lake at the end of a long day. All of sudden an entertaining light display lit up the night sky. Again, IllumiNations was beginning, and we enjoyed a comfortable view. On another trip, we had a balcony view from our resort. Although much of the show was not visible, an occasional glimpse of fireworks is magical.
Disney Parks Fireworks at the Polynesian Resort

One of our best and most relaxing Magic Kingdom fireworks shows was enjoyed beachside. After a long day at the parks, we settled in comfy beach chairs on the shore of Bay Lake at the Polynesian Resort. After seeing a lovely sunset, the Disney Electrical Water Pageant, we watched the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom light up over the bay. And the most magical part was when it ended, to be able to stroll leisurely back to your room without having to wait for transportation. A perfect end to a magical day!
While viewing any Disney Parks Fireworks show is a not to be missed park experience, seeing it from afar and in comfort is amazing too!
